Spring BOGO Book Fair, Volunteers Needed!

Our book fair is made possible by the generous support of parent, guardian and community volunteers, just like you! Please sign up here to volunteer; we especially could use volunteer help with set up this Friday, March 13th. We will do our best to accommodate all volunteers’ schedules in order to make it a fun experience for everyone! Questions? Please email our volunteer coordinator at volunteer@huskiespta.com

The spring Scholastic Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) Scholastic Book Fair happens March 16-19 in the Hedenkamp MPR! Did you know that you can set up ewallet as a cashless option for your child to make purchases at the book fair? Please visit https://bookfairs.scholastic.com/bf/hedenkamp and scroll down to eWallet to get started! Register your child for ewallet at no cost and print out the barcode for your child to present at the book fair. Volunteers can also look up students’ ewallet accounts at the register. Ewallet is the recommended payment method for your child and any remaining funds will be returned to your account once the book fair is over. 

*We also take cash and credit/debit cards with the exception of EBT, Checks, and gift cards
The Book Fair is a popular event and we could not do it without adult volunteers like you! 

Yearbooks + Love Lines

Yearbooks for the 2019-2020 academic year are currently available for purchase online through March 20, 2020 at the Huskies PTA webstore. Yearbooks cost $35 each or $40 for a personalized cover version. An option to add a special note to your child that will appear in the 2019-20 yearbook (a.k.a. a “Love Line”) is now an option as well, even if you’ve already purchased a yearbook. Click here to reserve a Love Line.

If you have any pictures from the 2019-2020 school year that you’d like to share, please email them to Historian@huskiespta.com. If possible, please include the child’s name, grade, teacher and event info. Thank you for sharing your memories!

Hedenkamp’s 13th-Annual “Read-Across-America” Literacy Event & “Book Character Dress-Up Day!”

It’s time for our 13th Annual Hedenkamp Read-A-Thon, taking place for one week (February 28 – March 6) to coincide with National Read-Across-America and Dr. Seuss Day. We want you to be informed of this fun and fantastic fundraising event. Please click here to view important information about the 13th Annual Hedenkamp Read Across America library fundraiser. Funds raised will be used to support the Hedenkamp Elementary Library.

On Friday, March 6th @ 7:45 a.m. in the MPR, enjoy donuts and juice as you read with your child! All students, staff, and parents are encouraged to come to school dressed as their favorite book character! There will be raffles, games, photo-ops, and costume contests! Hope to see you there!

Create-a-Tile Night has been rescheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 6:30 until 8:00PM in rooms 701-702. All are welcome! There will be no PTA event tomorrow evening in the MPR. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Tiles can be reserved at the Huskies PTA webstore now through Sunday, March 8, 2020. Tiles cost $15 each for PTA members and $18 each for non-members, with no purchase limit. Purchase any membership when you purchase your tile(s) to receive the discounted rate. Thank you and we hope to see you soon!
