BOGO Book Fair

One of our favorite events of the year, the “Buy One Get One” Free Annual Book Fair is upon us! There are many ways for your student to get involved including a coloring contest and donating to All For Books. We want to keep kids interested, engaged, and READING!

Watch out for information about a new program called E-wallet that eliminates the need for cash. This year, teacher’s will have an opportunity to create classroom wish lists which is a great way to support your child’s classroom. Our school gets back 55% of each purchase, and we use the proceeds to help provide supplies for the kids.

As you know, we cannot do these events without the help and support of parents and grandparents like you! Please take a moment to review our volunteer sign up.

We make it as fun, and painless as possible! There are also opportunities for high school students to earn community service hours.

We are excited to announce this new way to pay for your child’s favorite books this year! E-wallet is a digital way to pay that eliminates the need for cash. Set a monetary limit for your child hooked up to your debit\credit card (extended family can send money too!) And when the fair ends, any remaining money will be released back to you! Take advantage of this cool new tool by visiting the book fair home page. See attached.

Yearbooks

2018 – 2019 Yearbooks will be available for purchase on our webstore beginning February 10^th to March 15^th.

Yearbooks cost $35 and a personalized version is available for $40. They will be delivered at the end of the year. A limited amount of yearbooks will be available for purchase at the end of the year for $50.

They will only be available through the website and there are no refunds.

Love Lines

Write a lasting dedication for any Hedenkamp Husky! Love Lines will be published in the yearbook.

A cash-only payment of $5 is required.  You can turn in the payment in an envelope to either your child’s teacher or the Love Lines Box in the office.  Be sure to write on the envelope:

• Your name and email address
• Your child’s name and room number

One payment is received; you will receive an email confirmation.

Tuesday Tidbits (January 15, 2019)

General PTA Meeting: January 16^th, 2019

Please join us for the PTA General Meeting Wednesday, January 16^th, at 5:30pm in the MPR. We will be discussing PTA nominations for the 2019 – 2020 board.

Mother-Son Dance

Tickets are now on sale!

The Mother-Son Dance is January 25 at 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in Hedenkamp’s MPR. Tickets are available on the Hedenkamp PTA webstore from January 13^th to the 20^th. Tickets are $15/per person, so you will need to buy one ticket for each individual. For example, if a mother and son are attending the dance, you will need to buy two tickets. If the mother is bringing two sons, you will need to buy three. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

This is a very popular event and there are only 400 tickets available. Make sure you act early if you want to participate.

There are no refunds for this event.

Husky Wear

In lieu of online Winter Husky Wear Sale, we will be hosting several “Pop Up” Husky Wear Sales on campus in the next few months. If you are unable to attend a pop up due to work, please email Karen at pta@huskiespta.com and we can arrange a different time.

We just placed a new order. Look for the announcement for the next sale on the blog in the next few weeks!

Change of Clothes

Kids slip in the mud or spill their lunch and need a change of clothes. Hedenkamp is in need of donations of new underwear and socks, and gently used outfits for when these little accidents happen.

We are requesting gently used outfits (one assembled washed outfit put in a gallon bag with the size marked on the outside). Please sign up for a donated size here.

Additionally, underwear and socks can be purchased from the following Amazon wishlist or at a store of your choice.
